“In Everything Give Thanks!”

In this season of Thanksgiving, I just want to say thank you #JESUS for loving me and caring for me unconditionally!

I also want to say thank you to all of my like minded brothers and sisters who sacrifice themselves for the love, the peace, joy, restoration, and healing of others. For many people the Holidays and Birthdays are times of mixed emotions, regrets, and sorrow. However I am encouraging you this Holiday Season to “In Everything Give Thanks!”

“And now, friends, we ask you to honor those leaders who work so hard for you, who have been given the responsibility of urging and guiding you along in your obedience.

Overwhelm them with appreciation and love! Get along among yourselves, each of you doing your part. Our counsel is that you warn the freeloaders to get a move on. Gently encourage the stragglers, and reach out for the exhausted, pulling them to their feet.

Be patient with each person, attentive to individual needs. And be careful that when you get on each other’s nerves you don’t snap at each other. Look for the best in each other, and always do your best to bring it out.”

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 MSG

In this enhanced culture of takers and narcissistic evolution, people and leaders with hearts after God who spend their lives trying to bring joy to the world, love the unloveable, touch the untouchable, tolerate the intolerable, believe in the unbelievable.

Men and women with big hearts filled with God’s love often find themselves saddened and suffering in silence from emptying out that love for others and not reciprocating or being refilled.

However we can gain inspiration from my favorite worshipping warrior King David who declared:

“I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

Psalm 34:1 KJV

“In Everything Give Thanks!”

Mental Health challenges amongst those called to be healers and liberators has reached epidemic proportions.

The last few years have been filled with trauma, devastation, grief, sorrow, bereavement, broken hearts, broken homes, broken marriages, broken promises, disappointment, disbelief, shocking revelations, betrayals, senseless murders, racism, injustice, takers, brutality, loss of loved ones, loss of friends, loss of stability, loss of joy, loss of peace, loss of happiness, and for many the loss of will.

“God didn’t set us up for an angry rejection but for salvation by our Master, Jesus Christ. He died for us, a death that triggered life. Whether we’re awake with the living or asleep with the dead, we’re alive with him! So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you’re already doing this; just keep on doing it.”

1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 MSG

“I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with his praise. I live and breathe God; if things aren’t going well, hear this and be happy: Join me in spreading the news; together let’s get the word out.

Look at him; give him your warmest smile. Never hide your feelings from him.

When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot. God’s angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray.

Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him.”

Psalm 34:1-3, 5-8 MSG
